Bubala | Vegetarian Middle Eastern Feasting
And Bubalas pop up.
And this July, Bubala will be popping up for a second time, after a stellar first run in Brunswick East. It comes to us from Marc Summers (Former General Manager at Berber and Q), and Emily Heron (currently a Development Chef at Ottolenghi HQ), who share a mutual love of both Middle Eastern food, and reducing the amount of meat we eat.
For this sophomore pop up, they’re taking over the colourful Pill Box Kitchen in Bethnal Green for 2 nights only to create a huge feast designed for all to share, which they point out “just happens to be vegetarian”.
The menu is being kept under wraps in order to add to the element of surprised awe when it’s finally unveiled, but you can expect at least three courses, with the main feast (with complimentary sides) bookended by nibbles & snacks to start, and pudding to finish.
The drinks will include craft beers supplied by nearby 40ft brewery, and natural wines from Under the Bonnet, based in south London, but who’s wines all come from France, Germany, and Chile.
Not to burst your bubble.
NOTE: Bubala’s Bethnal Green pop up will run on the 18th & 19th of July. Tickets cost £30 and are available right HERE. Drinks are not included in the ticket price and it’s cash only bar, so bring some paper if you want to have a few drinks.
