Dishoom’s Holi Parties
Get tickled pink…
…and blue, and orange at Dishoom’s legendary Holi parties, back for another year this Sunday 12th of March at the historic Victorian boxing venue, York Hall.
Also known as the Festival Of Colours or the Festival Of Love, Holi is a Hindu celebration set up with the look to break down barriers and instead, champion openness and tolerance (via the expressive medium of throwing paint at one another). With this in mind, Dishoom will be donating £1 for every ticket sold to Seeds of Peace, a charity helping teenagers from regions of conflict learn the skills of peace making.
Your shiny coins on the other hand will go towards an epic line-up of live entertainment (including a live tabla player), DJs and a literal ton of colourful powder which you’ll be hurling at anyone and everyone. There’ll also be a street food market and a bar serving both wine and beer late into the night.
…All of which are fairly persuasive reasons to take a Holi day.
NOTE: Dishoom’s Holi Parties will be split into two parts; 1) the family-friendly daytime party between 12 and 3pm, and 2) the evening party between 6 and 10pm. You can buy tickets HERE.
