Everyone likes a bake off.
But a cheese toastie-off is whey more interesting.
And this month Camden fromagerie The Cheese Bar are doing just that, hosting a charity toastie throwdown in their sleek marble-countered home. They’re inviting chefs from across town – specifically, Berber & Q, El Pastor, Decatur, Pizza Pilgrims and Gunpowder, no less – to take over the kitchens (and their local British cheeses) for the day and to create their own twist on the humble grilled cheese sandwich, with all proceeds going to the charity Help Refugees UK.
Then, of course, they’re inviting you to try every single one out (with a welcome beer or glass of wine) to help them crown the winner.
So cheese wisely.
