It’s the return of the London Mural Festival! That means that as of September, we’ll all be out painting the town red.
Some more literally than others.
And those ‘some’ are the 100+ international artists set to take part, with over 100 new large-scale murals planned for across the city.
The festival will take place this September, between the 5th and the 29th, when you’ll be able to tour the city taking in some of the most awe-inspiring, large-scale outdoor works ever created on London buildings. Confirmed artists who’ll be executing the curated vandalism this year include: D*Face, Aches, eL Seed, Marija Tiurina, Rosie Woods, Zoe Power, Zomby, Roids, Hixxy, with more to be announced soon.
You’ll be able to tour them all using an interactive illustrated map of London (by artist Angry Dan), and if you want to get involved yourself you can head down to their spray painting pop up in Shoreditch, as well as checking out some street art tours, calligraphy workshops, and a little mural painting in a giant maze.
Time to brush up on our sense of direction.
