No. 29 Power Station West

Power stations can give rise to a lot of rumours.

And if they’ve taught us anything, it’s that there’s no smoke without fire.

So we can confirm that anything you might have heard about No. 29 Power Station West – a vast, achingly stylish all-day eating and drinking space that’s popped up in the new Battersea Power Station development – is completely true. And if you haven’t heard anything yet, allow us to give you a brief run-down:

1) It’s from the people who a) also run the fine establishments at No. 32 Old Town, No. 197 Chiswick Fire Station and 601 Queens Road, and b) really like addresses;

2) It’s an epic, industrially styled space, with bespoke Crittall doors and workshop-style fittings nestled alongside art deco touches and decadent velvet-cloaked furniture in a nod to the Power Station’s origins; and

3) They’re serving up everything from brunch to dinner alongside an almost comically large selection of wines, craft beers, draught beers and seasonal cocktails.

Power Station West

Dishes include the likes of coconut poached chicken salad, Sunday roasts of slow-cooked short rib of beef and roast chicken breast, and desserts such as white chocolate creme brûlée with passionfruit. To wash it all down, there are 30 wines, 20 beers, and an arm-long cocktail list including glorious libations as their Watermelon Sour, Passionfruit Caipirinha, and Tommy’s margaritas.

Don’t worry. He’s cool with it.

NOTE: No. 29 Power Station West is open daily, 8am-midnight (1am Fri & Sat). You can find out more, and book a table, at their website right HERE.
