Two facts to mull over on St. Patrick’s Day:
1) St. Patrick was British
2) His official colour is blue
Yes, we’re fun at parties. And speaking of parties, there are several going on this month to commemorate the man who drove the snakes out of Ireland.
Because this year, for the first time since 2017, St. Pat’s falls on a Friday.
And that means the usual but-it’s-a-school-night fetters will be recklessly tossed aside in favour of stout, whiskey, and fun. Practically the whole city will be turning green for the day, but if you want a few suggestions to whet your appetite, you might want to start the festivities at the official St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival, maybe head up to the rooftop at Skylight, get a live Irish band at the UK’s biggest beer hall, sip an Irish coffee at a stunning Fitzrovia pub, perhaps dance the night away at The Piano Work, or shake your moneymaker in front of a live Irish band (in a thousand year old church) at Amazing Grace, get some free-flowing Guinness to power you up for an oyster eating competition courtesy of Maison Francoise, or check out some one-off dishes from one of our favourite restaurants from last year, ACME Fire Cult…
