PAIRED at Carousel launched at the start of this year – in fact, it helped launch the year itself, opening over New Year’s Eve. In short the idea is that it’s a unique combination of world-class DJs & lavish tasting menus, and as you might expect, it was roaring success.
Well, now it’s coming back for another NYE extravaganza.
So just what’s involved in one of these evenings? Well, the idea is relatively simple – the night pairs up a highly talented chef and DJ across each of the venue’s two floors, with each combination being unique to that night and that night only. Thus no two menus, soundtracks, or events will be the same. Things start at a respectable 7pm when 70 guests will take their seats for a multi-course tasting menu. Then, at around 10.30 a whopping 200 more guests join the party as the DJs up the tempo with back-to-back sets to see out the night in raucous style on a candlelit dace-floor.
For New Year’s Eve, the man on the pans will be none other that Sam Buckley, who’s popping in from his Green Michelin Star-winning restaurant in Stockport, Where The Light Gets In. The ex-Enclume chef will be serving up a multi-course menu featuring dishes like Carlingford Oyster Tostadas and Pork Ragù Donuts, Green Onions and Bone Broth to fuel you up for a night of dancing with the legendary Mancunian DJ (and teapot-seller) Mr. Scruff.
You can book in for the whole dinner, or if you just fancy the dancing, you can join for the after-party on the candlelit dance floor until the wee hours.
You just need to get paired up with a ticket.
