Pitch Stratford | Al Fresco Hangout
We’ve got a real son of a Pitch for you.
It’s the third incarnation of Pitch Stratford; the huge al fresco drinking/street food-ing terrace tucked a few minutes down the road from Stratford station that first popped up in 2017.
It’s back again, this year with a Moroccan theme, with mosaic lanterns, woven cushions and sprigs of foliage. What else is on offer? Well…
FOOD & DRINK
You’ll find street food courtesy of Empress Market here. Founder Numra’s serving up Pakistani bun kababs filled with shami beef, tandoori chicken and aloo tikki, and there’s plans to host al fresco supperclubs as the weather gets warmer.
Washing all that down, there’s a bar from The Umbrella Project – the team behind Discount Suit Company and The Sun Tavern – serving ‘alternative Tiki’ cocktails, their own boozy ginger ale, and regular beers from Signature Brewing.
THINGS TO DO
So, there’s cinema – and not just any cinema. A vast, 196 inch HD screen, home not only to what’s promised to be a stellar line up of classic films, but screenings of major sporting events too. There’ll also be a green for lawn games, free live music every weekday, and ticketed, DJ-soundtracked parties every weekend from 3pm.
Sounds like they’ve pitched it just right.
NOTE: Pitch Stratford is open daily from 4-11pm (from noon on weekends) until late September. You can find out more at their website right HERE.
