Things To Do

If you’ve ever slept through your alarm for work, jumped on your bike – bed-hair, odd socks and all – and raced across town to be at your desk as close to 9am as your legs will carry you, then you’ll be familiar with the tingly-calf sensation you feel after a cycle-lane sprint finish.

While gambling with London traffic to make it to work on time could be considered one way to get your exercise in, there are other, safer ways to exert yourself.

Enter Psycle; a fitness brand that basically brought spin classes to London back in 2014. Ten years on, Psycle now has five studios – in Notting Hill, Victoria, Clapham, Marylebone, Shoreditch – and has built on its signature ‘Ride’ classes to now include Barre, Reformer, Strength and Yoga.

More than just state-of-the-art kit and top-range hairdryers in the changing rooms, P takes a 360 view on fitness and wellness. The workouts promise to challenge you physically, strengthen you mentally and ultimately give you a well-rounded training experience.

Each studio has its own offering:

Notting Hill: Located on Westbourne Grove, here you can do Ride, Barre and Yoga. There’s also an Energy Kitchen for refuelling after a grueling workout.

Victoria: Tucked into Ecclestone Yard, this studio offers Ride, Barre and Yoga classes.

Clapham: This studio is dedicated to Psychle’s signature spin workout with at least six classes a day. Alsoon site; a shop and Energy Kitchen.

Shoreditch: A two minute walk from Shoreditch High Street station, offers Ride and Reformer.

Oxford Circus: The flagship studio, just minutes from Oxford Circus tube station is where you can dip your toe into any of the five Psycle workouts.

There’s also Psycle at home, which makes it easy to squeeze in a workout even when you’re strapped for time. Power yoga before work? Simply roll out of bed and onto your mat. Signature bar while dinner’s on the go? Just use your kitchen counter for balance. Either sign up for a monthly or yearly subscription to gain access to a bulging library of over 150 classes, live sessions as well as personal recommendations.

So if all of that hasn’t got you psyched then we don’t know what will.

NOTE: Psycle studios are open every day. Each studio has changing rooms and showers available.  You can find out more, book a session or sign up to membership on the Psycle website.
