The Princes never change.
William is celebrating getting one more heir.
And Harry’s found yet another excuse for a party.
Although, that’s not such a terrible thing, because it invites an excuse for everyone else in the country to have a knees-up, too. So the fine people at Bourne & Hollingsworth have charged their elite event-planning task force with a simple mission: to create the best royal party in the country. Including Windsor.
Thankfully, it looks like they’ve come through, because on May 19th, they’re going to take over the grounds of ONE Marylebone (a huge standalone Georgian church in the centre of town, and one of the most beautiful venues in the city) and fill them live musicians, performers, provisions, traditional games, Champagne, cocktails, and general revelry. The day will be split into two phases:
From 12 noon there’ll be giant screens showing the ceremony while they kickstart the roster of entertainment: expect live big bands, first dance classes, Bloody Mary-making sessions, traditional British games, a ‘Have I Got News For You’ style comedy panel, and some bouquet & corsage making to boot.
Oh, and that’s not forgetting the hog roast. Which will be washed down with copious amounts of Champagne.
Now things move inside the dazzling venue, all to the sound of a live string quartet. Things will rapidly move onto cocktails and on-stage tribute acts (who you’ll swear really were Ed Sheeran & Elton John) before the dance-floor really gets going. You can try your all to catch the bouquet, eat Megan Markle’s favourite American foods, grab a slice of wedding cake, and more.
Wedding attire and hats are very much encouraged.
A nice dress should be all-white.
