Cycling festivals.

Arguably, the best idea since inventing the wheel.

Something not lost on SPIN Cycling Festival, who have gathered together a sprawling collective of some of the cycling world’s finest makers, brands, tech wizards and creative thinkers for a weekend celebrating all things pedal-powered.

And because celebrations usually involve goodie bags, they just happen to have put one together for you, dear Nudge reader. It’s filled with a Dualit coffee maker and milk frother, a 6 month artisan coffee pod subscription from independent roasters Volcano Coffee Works, and your choice of a Raynsie waterproof cycling overall, worth a pretty cool £300. And it could all very well be yours with a click in that box to the side there. And if you don’t score all that, you’re still in with a chance of winning one of five pairs of day tickets to the festival taking place this weekend in the lofty Olympia exhibition centre.

It’s here that over 150 cycling brands will be congregating, from Aceteam’s wooden fixies to the restored former Royal Mail bicycles from Elephant Bikes – as well companies immersed in the wider cycling culture, including designers who’ll create artwork from your GPS-tracked cycling patterns, and a very important company that makes leather holsters to safely transport wine bottles while cycling.

There’ll be plenty ways to get involved too; wend your way through the Red Light District to take a peek at some of history’s most aesthetic bikes, or hop on the day and night test track, kitted out with light installations and heart-pumping music. And like any self-respecting festival, there’ll also be street food, a chance to sample that artisan coffee from Volcano Coffee Works, and craft beers courtesy of Camden Town Brewery…

Which might seem distracting from the main event… but we’re assured they’ll be working in tandem.

NOTESPIN Cycling Festival takes place 12th-14th May at the Olympia Exhibition Centre, and tickets are available as day or weekend passes HERE
