After it opened a couple of weeks ago, Thomas Straker’s new Notting Hill restaurant, STRAKER’S, almost instantly became fully booked until the end of the year.
And George Clooney & Rande Gerber’s small batch, ultra premium tequila, Casamigos, is currently the fastest growing spirits brand on earth.
Which makes this upcoming collaboration – STRAKER’S x Casamigos Tequila – just about the hottest ticket in town now. Because on the evening of Thursday 1st of December, you’re going to get to enjoy a four course feast at STRAKER’S, paired up with a selection of Casamigos cocktails.
Just in case you don’t know it, STRAKER’S is the work of one Thomas Straker, who despite being a TikTok star in his own right, made his way up the ranks of London’s best kitchens the old fashioned way, manning pans at such esteemed eateries as Dinner by Heston, The Dorchester, and Phil Howard’s Michelin-Starred Elystan Street. Now he finally has his own place, there’s a lot of very justified excitement around it. Hence the whole ‘being booked out insanely quickly’ thing.
And as for Casamigos? Well, you’ve almost certainly heard the story of how George Clooney and his buddy Rande Gerber created a tequila brand just for themselves (the name even means ‘house of friends’ in Spanish), then everyone collectively realised it was one of the best new tequilas people had seen in years. Because, well, it’s delicious.
The menu for the collaboration is currently under wraps, but expect it to be Mexican-leaning – and expect to wash it all down with a selection of Casamigos cocktails. And on top of that? At the end of it all, you’ll be given a small Casamigos gift and there’ll be a chance to win yourself a personalised Casamigos Tequila bottle, too.
