Kebab Queen Is Hosting An Insane-Sounding Sunday Roast

Kebab Queen is going to prove its regal chops on Sunday December 1st, by hosting a huge one-off feast, with 100% of the proceeds (not just profits) going to charity to help ease the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon.

For anyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of experiencing Kebab Queen’s delightfully unique set-up, it’s easily one of the most interesting restaurants in the city. It’s a secret fine-dining spot, hidden underground inside a kebab place, with just ten seats surrounding a pristine white countertop that cups itself around the kitchen area. But that’s not even the strangest part. No, that would be the fact that there are no plates, or even cutlery. Your food is either handed directly to you or served straight onto that countertop. Sounds weird, sure, but in the hands of a great chef, it’s creative, playful, and brilliant.

And there are going to be great chefs on hand for this event – executive Chef Manu Canales and celebrity chef Big Zuu will both be there to whip up an “ultimate Sunday roast tasting menu” with six courses, including fire-roasted dry-aged British Wagyu sirloin with all the trimmings, whole turbot sayadieh, multiple canapés, mezze dishes, and more. The meal will be paired with a wine flight of fine Lebanese wines and Louis Roederer Champagne, with just two sittings at lunch and dinner.

Given that this is all in aid of charity, seats are going for £250 per head, with corporate sponsors matching 1:1. With two sittings of ten seats, they’re aiming to raise £10,000 in total, with the whole kit & kaboodle going to  Beit El Baraka and Arc-en-Ciel, which are Lebanese based NGOs who are supporting people displaced by the war as well as underprivileged and marginalised communities.

And you’ll be in for a remarkably memorable and fun meal too.
