Taste of London 2018 | London Food Festival
A taste of London doesn’t sound particularly nice.
But Taste of London most certainly does.
The capital makes a big difference.
Because the internationally renowned food festival is heading back to Regent’s Park for five flavour-packed days this summer for the 14th year, and it’s going to bring a wealth of food talent with it. And, as usual, they’ve made everything bigger, better, and tastier.
Here’s what’s going down…
This year there are going to be over 40 of London’s finest eateries packed into one place, with Taste Of London debuts from Mexican taco kings El Pastor; West African stunner Ikoyi; and the Amalfi-inspired Italian Sorella. Others joining for another round include Hoppers, ROKA, Kricket, BAO, Duddell’s, Salon, and more. Literally dozens more, in fact.
So, apart from merely claiming the greatest concentration of food talent in the nation, what else is going on?
Glad you asked…
THE TASTE RESIDENCE
New for 2018, the TR will see guests seated at an intimate chef’s table for a 4-course tasting menu personally prepped and presented by the chefs themselves. Those chefs will include the likes of Magnus Nilsson of Fäviken Magasinet, Niklas Ekstedt of Ekstedt, Sean Gray of Momofuku Ko, Manoella Buffara of Manu and Gregory Marchand of Frenchie.
Oh, and everything will be paired with wine in addition to being bookended by both aperitif & digestifs cocktails.
THE FIRE PIT
Moving into slightly more satisfyingly meaty territory, the Fire Pit (which, should there be any confusion, is a literal fire pit) will give chefs a chance to show off their BBQ prowess over an open flame. The lineup will include Josh Katz (Berber & Q), Lee Tiernan (Black Axe Mangal), Andy Oliver (Som Saa), David Carter (SMOKESTAK), and looooads more.
THE OTHER STUFF
There’s going to be a Champagne Laurent-Perrier Club House, a Bloody Mary kitchen, an artisan market, a VIP lounge & garden, an all-new cocktail bar, a craft beer bar, and frankly more things than we have space for…
Consider this just a taste.
NOTE: Taste of London 2018 will take place in Regent’s Park from 13th-17th June. Use the code NUDGE to get £3 off your ticket right HERE.
