Valentine’s Day is nearly upon us.
And obviously you said no gifts this year buuut…
…we’ve gone ahead and organised a candlelit supper club with live music and a DJ at a secret east London location anyway.
Conveniently happening on 14th February 2022, it’s going to kick off with you and your date attempting to find the unassuming entrance to a dilapidated old railway arch. Should you succeed, you’ll then step through an unexpectedly creaky door into an intimate, candlelit celebration of love, life, connection, food, wine… and dining in random places.
On arrival you’ll first notice the live music… and then you’ll notice a gin, lemon & raspberry Cosmonaut being handed to you (which if you’d like to you should drink, because it will be lovely). At the same time London supper club legends Disappearing Dining Club – led by head chef Fred Bolin – will be busy preparing your dinner in a kitchen they’ll have built just for that evening. Then you’ll take your seats at a long banqueting table, as the live music is temporarily swapped out for a set by DDC’s resident DJ, in order to enjoy a little homemade Guinness bread with smoked butter, before moving onto starters like Jerusalem artichoke soup and beef carpaccio with a truffle & green bean salad; mains of butternut squash & trompette ravioli or herb-crusted roast sirloin on a bed of crushed potato nicoise with slow roasted tomatoes; a little Champagne & elderflower granita; culminating in the grand finale of vanilla bavaroise with chocolate crumbs, orange & either saffron ice cream, or sorbet.
And to complement the ambiance, live music, DJ and four course dinner you’ll also find a fully stocked bar serving up house cocktails & mocktails, pre-dinner tipples, post-dinner nightcaps and a fine selection of wines – including the option to complement each of your courses with a special wine pairing.
It’s cool, you didn’t have to get us anything.
