Tiffany & Co’s ‘Vision & Virtuosity’

Tiffany & Co. are throwing a massive 150th birthday party, swapping out the cake for….

Carats.

But then, what else from one of the world’s oldest and most iconic jewellery brands, known for its pioneering creativity and craftsmanship, sure, but also for sourcing some seriously mahoosive diamonds?

Tiffany & Co. actually started in New York, back in 1837. However, 150 years marks when they first arrived in London, so they’re taking over none other than Chelsea’s stunning Saatchi Gallery to celebrate.

They want to bring to life the past 200 years, taking guests on a journey through some of the brand’s most iconic moments. You’ll start by meeting visionary and founder Charles Lewis, before riffling through the works of leading jewellery designers Jean Schlumberger and Elsa Peretti. There will be rooms dedicated to Tiffany’s ‘Blue Books’ (the annual high jewellery collections known for featuring some of the world’s most exceptional gemstones), Tiffany engagement rings, and of course the 60s cult classic Breakfast At Tiffany’s.

The last room promises ‘a spectacle of diamonds’ (cue thoughts of Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Rooms), with guests getting the chance to ogle the legendary 128-carat Tiffany Diamond, worn by only four women in its lifetime: Mrs. E. Sheldon Whitehouse, Aubrey Hepburn, Lady Gaga, and Beyoncé (of course).

Fittingly, it sounds like the kind of thing one might remember forever.

NOTE: Tiffany & Co’s Vision & Virtuosity runs at the Saatchi Gallery between 10th June and 19th August. Tickets are free, however you need to book.

PS: Always wanted to have breakfast at Tiffany’s? Now you can.
