UncannyCon has a running time of 7 hours.
And if that doesn’t fill you with fear and dread, then maybe the jam-packed programme of spoOoOoOky discussions, meet & greets and live podcasting will.
UncannyCon is set to be a day-long frightfest, hosted by the team behind the hit podcast Uncanny. If you’re not one of the five million who tune in on a regular basis, each episode examines a listener’s true story of a supernatural encounter, and then tries to explain them using trusty, modern-day science. Apart from the occasional case where they just can’t.
It’s all mysteriously appearing at the Southbank Centre on 8th December, and throughout the day there’ll be a ton of different events taking place. There’ll be a marketplace hawking merch (at presumably horrifying prices!); a chance to meet host Danny Robins and pick his brains on previous cases; and the opportunity to share your own ghost stories with the team.
But the highlights will be the live discussions hosted by Robins and a his panel of special guests, including witnesses and scientific experts from the show. And it all ends with a live recording of the podcast, featuring never-before-heard cases and a ‘very special celebrity guest’.
You never know, it could be Elvis.
NOTE: UncannyCon takes place at the Southbank Centre on 8th December 2024. Tickets cost £60 for the whole day; you can book here.
