Want to know the secret to a successful restaurant?

Underground Sessions: The Tastemakers | How to start a successful restaurant

A wise person once said “it is better to say nothing at all”.

An even wiser person didn’t even say that.

And an EVEN WISER person said something that was actually useful, and probably got them invited to take part in one of the Underground Sessions as an expert in their particular field.

For those who’ve never been; the Underground Sessions come to us from Appear Here (if you want to find space for a pop up anywhere in London, Paris, or New York, they’re your first call) and take place roughly once a month, covering different topics each time. In it, they’ll get together three or four influential & experienced people from the industry in question for a ‘fireside chat’, consisting of a very informal, conversational Q&A.

This month’s event is called The Tastemakers, and the topic being tackled is “how to start a successful restaurant” – an age-old question which will once and for all be conclusively answered by panelists Will Bowlby (founder of Kricket); Simon King (Director of Operations at JKS Restaurants, who run Gymkhana, BAO, Lyle’s, etc.); Gemma Bell (founder of Gemma Bell PR); and, ahem, Neil Frame, founder of a little outfit called The Nudge.

The evening will take place on the evening of Wednesday 23rd in an intimate space in Spitalfields. There’ll be a grazing table laid out by Grape & Fig, cocktails and networking afterward, goodie bags to take away, and 100% of the money raised goes to charity.

Which is pretty tasteful of them.

NOTE: Underground Session: The Tastemakers takes place on October 23rd in Spitalfields. You can find out more, and get your tickets right HERE
