Tony Conigliaro and Willy Wonka have a lot in common.
They’re both recipe-crafting geniuses, they both have mysterious production facilities, and they both have excellent top hats (though Tony doesn’t wear his in public so much).
And the coincidences don’t stop there. Because just as Willy opened the gates to his monumental fictional chocolate factory, so is Tony offering the chance for a few lucky souls to glimpse what goes on in his (very real) Drink Factory, where he researched the concoctions for 69 Colebrooke Row, Bar Termini and Untitled.
For the first time ever, Joe Public will be able to set foot in Tony’s Hackney cocktail laboratory, where drinks are assembled, flavours matched, and certain ingredients probably tried to see whether they are actually, in fact, edible. Here you’ll be greeted by Tony himself, who’ll take you on a full tour of the space and explain in-depth about how the concept for his latest bar Untitled came about, and how exactly the signature serves there came together. There’ll naturally be plenty opportunity to sample, taste and smell ingredients along the way, so you can see how yoghurt, truffle and zinc were somehow combined to make the ethereal ninfeo cocktail, or just find out what on earth ‘benzoin’ is when it’s at home.
After which, he’ll merrily lead you round the corner to Untitled itself, where you’ll be free to sip on a complimentary cocktail of your choice amidst the tin-foily, ultra-slick surroundings of the bar.
And the best part?
None of those will turn you into a blueberry.
NOTE: Tony Conigliaro’s Untitled Uncovered sessions will run monthly, and cost £50. The first session is on Saturday 22nd April, 3-5pm, and you can book in HERE.
ALSO NOTE: We’ve a little something extra lined up for Nudge Members – simply log in to your benefits area to find out.
