Wild Feasts At Oxmoor Farm

If the phrase ‘Wild Feasts at Oxmoor Farm’ conjures up an image of an idyllic, sharing-style banquet served up on long tables inside a gorgeous, rustic barn nestled within a patchwork of open fields and surrounded by ancient woodland …that’s not exactly a coincidence.

Because as you may have gleaned from the photos, that’s exactly what they are.

You’ll find them just 30 miles out of town in the Chiltern Hills, and they’re bringing in a rather amazing lineup of genuinely brilliant, big-name chefs through the year until December. Those chefs will be cooking up sharing-style banquets for just two nights each, making it a strictly limited and intimate affair. After a highly successful launch in which Nudge Members got 50% off, they’re back with another ticket drop, and yes, Nudge Members (+1) are getting 50% off once more.

Rock up to High Wycombe station after a 30-minute train from London and then hop in a taxi for just 10-minutes before arriving at an ancient woodland area that is Oxmoor Farm. It’s got rolling open fields, vegetable patches, and wood fires, but most importantly it has a beautiful huge steel barn decked out with three long wooden, banqueting tables, twinkling fairy lights intertwined with ram horns, and hay bales covered with blankets.

Everything feels quintessentially like the English countryside with dozens of terracotta plant pots on the shelves and large vases of cow parsley. On arrival, you’ll be greeted by neo-soul music, a seasonal welcome cocktail, and the setting sunshine – if you’re lucky…

Wander around, clean your lungs out with some slightly less polluted air, or perch up by one of the wood fires before being called in by the brainchildren behind Oxmoor Farm, Paddy Maynard and Harry Hope-Morley. They’ll give you a quick spiel about the Wild Feasts and thank you for coming, before the head chef of the evening comes out to walk you through the menu of the night.

The starters and puddings are meticulously prepped in front of you on a long serving table, meanwhile the mains are all served at once for everyone to tuck into together. Expect things like roasting dishes of slow-cooked lamb; trays of white bean gratis, and bowls of pretty garden salads with foraged flowers.

It’s quite the lineup this year with guests like Sophie Godwin & Adam Bush (food writing power-duo); Amber Francis (British Restaurant Awards Young Chef of the Year); and Tom Cenci (the culinary powerhouse behind Nessa & Mortimer House Kitchen. And that’s only the start.

As the move out of summer and through to autumn, the next set of chefs will take the stage, such as food stylist & writer Kitty Coles; supperclub host Sophie Wyburd; restaurant legend Amy Poon (of Poon’s fame); Green Michelin Star winning chef Fred Page; and water & Wild Feasts regular Sophie Gordon, whose book & supperclub ‘The Whole Vegetable’ has been a roaring success.

Thanks to The Barn, the series runs through the entire rest of the year, from May right through to December. But tickets are still limited, and farm or not…

…they won’t crop up for long.

NOTE: The Wild Feasts at Oxmoor Farm take place throughout the year. You can find out more, and get tickets right here.
