Winterland’s NYE Party
Neverland is a place where time stands still, and children never grow up.
Which makes it somewhat ironic that it’s looking like one of the best places to celebrate the start of a new year.
Redressed for the festive season as Winterland, first you’ll enter an ever-so-slightly magical tree-lined corridor lit by fairy lights above, that leads to a wardrobe-like entrance of hanging woollen jumpers that you’ll walk through and enter the venue… before having a glass of mulled cider handed to you, included in your ticket.
Then, after taking in the huge Alpine lodge-like main space with its scattered fir trees, comfy sofas, and communal tables lined up under a festoon-lit pergola strung with antler chandeliers, you’ll probably want to get something to eat (also included in your ticket).
You’ll then mosey on to Jimmy’s Lodge for some seasonal sustenance in the form of fondue, steak frites, and raclette burgers, while you and your date/ mates/ whoever pot out how you’re going to squeeze in literally all of the activities on offer before midnight…
…which will be harder than it sounds, given that there are neon-lit curling lanes, a mini golf course, ping pong tables – which can be converted into beer and/or prosecco pong tables – plus glitter artists, and an ice cold vodka luge.
However you manage it, you’ll be able to do it all with a musical backdrop from their DJ, who’ll be heating up the dance-floor from 7.30pm – 1.30am, as well as 2-4-1 cocktail from the bar, which – as it happens – has an all new cocktail menu.
And the cherry on top of all of it?
It’s BYOB.
