The ping pong pioneers at Bounce have bought something new to the table.
Because now, not only do they have 12,000 sq ft of Russell Sage-designed space in Holborn, with 17 ping-pong tables, a 40 foot bar, a DJ booth, and a raised restaurant overlooking the action, …but they’ve also taken table tennis into the world of tech.
You see, in the very space that ping pong was first invented in, Bounce have furthered that spirit of paddle-based innovation by creating (and patenting) the cutting-edge, neon-soaked doozy that is Wonderball. It combines ball tracking tech and laser projection mapping to beams 4K resolution game-play onto the surface of your table, meaning it’ll keep track of your score, project different games, and basically become a cool interactive arcade while you play.
It’s all made possible by their specially developed ball, which allows the software to identify, track, and pin-point its trajectory and position. The games are multi-player, multi-level, and range in skill level.
Just make sure not to overextend yourself, lest you look over to your electronic scoreboard…
…and it’s love at first sight.
NOTE: Wonderball is launching at Bounce Farringdon on Saturday the 7th of October at an exclusive Nudge Members party. To find out more about the space head over to their website HERE.
