Get A Food Delivery, And A Vulnerable Person Gets A Free Care Package

The Plattery | Free supplies to those in need

If you fancy feeding your soul as well as your stomach, then we have a delivery recommendation for you:

The Plattery.

It’s a catering firm that specialises in large scale events, but who have decided that – seeing as large scale events aren’t a thing anymore – maybe they should pivot in a new, smaller direction. So now you can order a simple meal delivery for a minimum of 2 people dropped off with a hygienic, no-contact service.

And the kicker? You have the option to throw in £5 on top of your bill and ‘Pay It Forward’, for which they’ll create & deliver a care package to a vulnerable person. Those care packages contain a massive amount of stuff for a mere fiver, much of which is now quite hard to get hold of: paracetamol, disinfectant wipes, tissues, rubbing alcohol, facial wipes, and sanitary pads. On top of that, there’s also get a blanket, and some entertainment including puzzle books & a deck of cards. Oh, and food.

And speaking of food, you’ll be able to order from one of four menus that come in small (2 person) or large (4 person) sizes. They include:

The Thai Platter – which includes Thai green chicken/vegetable, Asian salad, satays with peanut dipping sauce, prawn crackers, and sweet chilli.

The Burger Platter – packing in burgers (plant based alternative available) Maris piper potato wedges, crispy onion rings, and alllll the pickle-relish-lettuce-cheese-tomato-mayo trimmings.

The Indian Platter – that’s got chicken/veg tikka masala, crispy onion bhajis, kachumber salad, mini naans, popadoms & mango chutney.

The Essentials Platter – you’ll get bread, homemade pasta, 4 different cheese, 4 different cured meats, pesto, garlic & rosemary butter, nuts, chutney, crackers, and a reusable bottle filled with grape hooch from Borough Wines.

Some elements of the food will require a little cooking/reheating at home, but it’s all the more reasonably priced for it – and you’ll get a lot.

NOTE: The Plattery’s Platter Meals are available for delivery now, priced at £20/£40. its £5 extra to Pay it Forward. You can find out more at their website right HERE, and make an order by emailing HERE.
