Boom Boom Club at Old Vic Tunnels | Alternative Entertainment
Reading about the best of London is one thing.
Actually getting out there to experience it in the flesh, however, can require something sufficiently different – and weirdly special – to grab your attention.
Fortunately “different, weird and special” is exactly what you’ll find on offer during the last two weeks of July, as the Boom Boom Club – London’s foremost purveyors of the deliciously twisted – takes up residence within the mysterious Old Vic Tunnels, hidden away in the vaults behind Waterloo.
If the line up is anything to go by, you should expect a particular focus on the weird.
Count Adriano Fettucini will be there, performing his signature City Gent Striptease. On a unicycle. Nestled amongst a variety of other entertaining oddities are the burlesque and fetish tribal fusion belly dancer Leah Debrincat; Raymond and Mr Timpkins; the impeccably exotic hula-hooper-extraordinaire Yulia Pikhtina and two Scots called, erm, Barry and Stuart.
With two consecutive three day runs planned (Thursday 21st July – Saturday 23rd, and Thursday 28th July – Saturday 30th), the shows will start at 8pm and last until midnight. Unless you book in for a Saturday, in which case additional entertainment will be laid on to keep the party going until 3am.
Very unique, very weird and very entertaining.
