So you’ve done the Open, the US Open and the PGA. The weekend of Augusta continues to see you camped out in front of the TV for two days. You’d like others in your life to share in your enjoyment of this beautiful game but, in truth, it’s just not nearly fun enough for them.
Until now. Because on Friday 15th July 2011, while others trudge in to work – not knowing what you know – you’ll be en route to the most entertaining golf tournament in the world: the 5th Major, Leuka Mini Masters.
Think of it as an opportunity to take the day off work in order to support a noble charitable cause – the research and treatment of leukaemia. Think of it also as the most fun you’ll ever have on a Friday: a summer garden party, celebrity par-3 golf tournament and boutique music festival all rolled into one sunny day of merriment and frivolity.
Hosted by Dougray Scott, this year’s celebrity golf enthusiasts include Jimmy Nesbitt, Jamie Theakston, Gabby Logan and Gianluca Vialli. An afternoon of sunny, acoustic vibes will see live performances on the Jagermeister Stage from a line up that includes Goldheart Assembly, Starsailor’s James Walsh and Glastonbury Festival New Talent winners Treetop Flyers.
Sun, golf, live music, drinks and food: what better way to start the weekend.
