Masterpiece London 2011 | Chelsea Art Fair
Checking the time on your antique Patek Philippe watch, you finish off your glass of Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac and hop in to the ’61 Aston Martin DB4 GT in order to pick up the latest addition to your growing collection of 18th Century art. You head to Annabel’s to celebrate the latest purchase with the love of your life and, as you clink your Bellinis together, you present her with a pair of earrings that show just how much you care – and just how much you’re worth.
Not everyone will have this but happily – for you – it’s just a matter of time. And while the act of actually “purchasing” may be some time off, the act of appreciating the finer things in life shouldn’t be delayed.
Fortunately Masterpiece London 2011 – a crash course in the best of everything, from fine art and contemporary design to classic cars, wine and jewellery – comes to The Royal Chelsea Hospital between 30th June and 5th July.
The fair – now in only its second year – will feature over 150 exhibitors; a variety of talks and presentations throughout the 6 days; food from Le Caprice and the Mount Street Deli; and drinks from a temporary outpost of Mayfair member’s club Harry’s Bar.
