Pallet Paradise | Free Arts Festival
This regards Haringey, their warehouse community of artists, and a commissioned grant to ‘make something good’.
So, a team of eight artists and three architects have been working for over a year to transform one half of a carpark in Tottenham into a giant, immersive installation where – using 629 recycled pallet boxes – they have created a labyrinth of hidden rooms and performance spaces housing a variety of arts and immersive experiences including storytelling, sculpture, crafts, digital art, painting and live music.
Once the sun sets the installation will become what is essentially a mammoth palette party venue complete with a bar and live music.
For one weekend.
NOTE: Pallet Paradise launches this weekend, with two days of workshops, installations and live performances on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October 2015. After dark, it’s strictly 18+, running late into the night. Entry is free, although there are donation boxes for those who wish to contribute.
