Sister Act With a Live Gospel Choir
By Jade Ross
It’s not often you get to tell someone to pull up a pew, and literally mean it.
Well, this is one of those times.
And that pew is in one of London’s most beautiful churches, St Marylebone Parish Church, and you’ll be taking it because it is here that you can enjoy an ecclesiastical cinematic experience like no other.
Amacoast Cinema has taken over the 99yr old church at the foot of Regent’s Park and will be screening award winning ‘90s musical comedy Sister Act accompanied by a live band and full gospel choir.
Repeat: a full gospel choir.
Snacks and drinks will be on offer throughout the immersive viewing, which features live performances of the film’s best songs including ‘I will Follow Him’ and ‘My Guy’.
’90s classic film in a monumental venue. Snacks. Drinks. Live band. Full gospel choir. How many cinemas can offer all that?
NOTE: Sister Act with a Live Gospel Choir is being screened on 6 dates between 24 September and 27 October at St Marylebone Parish Church, 17 Marylebone Road, NW1 5LT. Tickets range from £15 – £27 and can be bought here. But be quick, as they’re selling out fast.
