Hoxtoberfest

Hoxtoberfest | Oktoberfest Party
By Jade Ross

Worried you’ve missed the boat on Octoberfest celebrations?

Keine Panik! The metaphorical and literal boat are still here. Parked at Hoxton Docks. And loaded with enough German Erdinger beer, Berlin-style cocktails and grilled bratwurst to sink a (metaphorical) ship.

Taking place between 20-22 October, Hoxtoberfest will be closing out this year’s Bavarian festivities and they haven’t skimped on what’s on offer… There’ll be a full-sized alpine chalet constructed within the dock’s timer warehouse, a biergarten (covered to shelter you from the relentless autumn drizzle), a selection of bars serving authentic German beers by the stein and fritz-kola cocktails, plenty of sausage courtesy of Herman ze German, a games room, and a dry dock – complete with actual boat.

And – believe it or not – that’s not all…

The main warehouse will be transformed into a traditional Oktoberfest tent with live music from charismatic Albfetza German Partyband (flown in especially to entertain you) and London’s finest drum and brass band – Old Dirty Brasstards – who will be playing a mix of pop, rock, hip hop, R&B and funk covers.

Sounds like a good place to drop anchor.

NOTE: Hoxtoberfest takes place 20-22 October from 6pm to midnight at Hoxton Docks. Tickets are £15-£30, include a 1L stein of Erdinger Fest Bier and food, and are available HERE.
