LASSCO Sale

Lassco Sale | Lassco Furniture

It’s f-f-freezing.

Which means that tomorrow morning, you should stay tucked up in bed.

Rugs and curtains from Mayfair; bus seats from Routemasters; a church full of chapel chairs and oaken pews; wing armchairs and cabinets from old soldiers’ homes.

Whatever happens, you should definitely avoid heading in to the clean and crisp London air in order to make a pilgrimage to “foodie Mecca”, Maltby Street Market.

That’s something you don’t want to do.

Tram benches; lighting from factories, shipbreakers and Moorish kasbahs; rustic pub tables, graffiti-adorned school lab tops and old floorboards; oak beams from ancient barns and shabby shelving; chimney pots, odd pots… and chandeliers from the Gentlemen’s Clubs of St James.

Because tomorrow morning LASSCO – legendary suppliers of “architectural antiques, salvage and curiosities to those in the know” – are hosting a unique warehouse sale on Maltby St, where they’ll be offering up to 90% off their “relics, reclaimed and redundant”.

Fuse boxes and wirework lockers; old Maltese floor tiles, antique smith-made ironwork; 50’s film posters; old butler’s sinks from stately homes, giant baths and a naughty, illuminated sign from a dirty book shop in Soho…

And if you stay in bed, we get to buy more stuff.

Note – If you decide to ignore this advice and head along anyway, then you should probably know that the sale starts at 9am and not 10am (as stated on LASSCO’s website).

But do feel free to turn up late: all of the best stuff’ll totally still be there…
