Great Scotland Yard | A hotel, restaurant, bar, and tearoom from Robin Gill
…land Yard is going to be the next project from super chef Robin Gill.
After thunderous acclaim for his debut restaurant in Clapham, The Dairy, was followed by yet more for his sophomore Sorella, he then went and smashed it for a third time with Darby’s. And this will be by far his most ambitious project to date. It’ll be set in Westminster (literally in Great Scotland Yard), and the aim is for it to be a hotel with two restaurants and two bars.
Starting with the restaurants, the flagship will be The Yard – this is going to be Modern British, apparently showcasing the best produce in the UK. The Parlour will be more of a tearoom, inspired by the Imperial Hotel in Delhi.
On the bars, there’ll be a classic cocktail joint called Forty Elephants, and an “illicit drinking club” called Sibín that’ll focus on whisky in all its forms.
Not only will you have those four, but there’ll also be a co-working space on site, as well as a butchery, a bakery, and a small gin distillery. All in all, it doesn’t take a detective to figure out that this place sounds promising…
NOTE: Great Scotland Yard is due to open this summer. We’ll be back then with the full scoop. In the meantime, you can find out more at the website right HERE.
