The circus has grown up.
La Soiree has fired the human cannonball. They’ve let the trapeze artist go. They’ve gone for the juggler.
Because their version of a circus is an Olivier award-winning, all-adult, all-risque, burlesque, cabaret, and sideshow cocktail. And it’s back in London for the winter. Head to the Aldwych Theatre on any given evening this festive season, and you’ll find a daily-changing lineup of acts, which includes…
THE NEW ACTS
The London debut of Maxime & Nathan, AKA The Chilly Brothers who “have mastered the death defying art of the Russian Cradle” (an acrobatic move that requires more or less superhuman strength and precision to pull off).
A UK exclusive performance from Rajesh Amrale and Rajesh Rao, straight from the streets of Mumbai.
LJ Marbles, hailing from the streets of Hckney, who’s developed a unique Ariel act using his self-designed ‘Tension Straps’.
…And literally half a dozen more, equally amazing talents. Then there are,
THE RETURNING ACTS
Amy G, a cabaret legend who has played in over 40 countries, 7 languages, and on La Soiree’s little red stage for over a decade.
Cabaret Decadanse, whose unique brand of cabaret is performed entirely with puppets.
The Daredevil Chicken Club, who are taking a brief break from their usual Vegas circuit to deliver their vaudevillian slapstick ’80s pop melodrama.
And if all that sounds a little too risqué to take the kids to, then rest assured it is. BUT, this year are trying out something new…
LA PETITE SOIRÉE
At 3pm every Saturday during the Christmas holidays you can pop down to the venue to see a family-friendly hour-long show for cabaret fans “of all ages “, which they promise will have all the spirit of the show, but “less of the sauce”.
And that comes straight from the source.
