An evening of lake swimming, cocktails and campfires.

Brought to you by the creative souls at Secret Adventures, this surprising London experience is taking place over several dates this summer (in June, July & August) on the pontoons of the West Reservoir in Stoke Newington. Head along and you’ll enjoy a balmy evening of dips in the lake, following which – as the sun takes its own dip below the horizon – you’ll be invited to warm up your outsides by the campfire, while warming everything else with cocktails and toasted marshmallows.
The plan’s pretty simple; after a couple of hours in the water (the lake’s huge, by the way) and sunbathing, you’ll retreat to shore and scorch some marshmallows on the liberally-scattered fire pits. If you feel like it, there’ll even be hot showers & hairdryers on standby, just in case. You can then peruse the street food trader’s goods – choosing to purchase from a range of carnivorous, vegetarian and vegan options – and ultimately enjoy a sort of reverse dinner, with dessert first.
And finally to cap the evening off, you’ll be invited to warm yourself up at the fairy-lit pop up bar, which will stay open until 11pm selling beer, wine, and all the usual extras…
It’s the best dive bar in town.
