The Blues Kitchen 4th Of July Party

The Blues Kitchen 4th Of July Party | Get a taste of Texas

PLEASE NOTE: This event has passed.

On the 4th of July, over in America, they celebrate their independence from Britain.

While over here, we celebrate being independent from America.

And if you fancy fully embracing the festivities? Get yourself down to The Blues Kitchen in Shoreditch where, they’ll be honouring the big day with a love letter to perhaps the most independent of the 50 states: Texas. They say everything’s bigger there, and they’re out to prove it by throwing a 4th of July bash: you’ll get a cowboy-approved, gigantic all-Texan menu (curated by Texan chefs), live music from one of the best upcoming Texan musicians, and Nudge Members will get a truly Texas-sized discount of 50% off both the food & booze whilst dining in the restaurant.

Make a booking anytime from 6-11pm on the big day, and you can saunter into the soulful and nostalgic haven of Deep South Americana, with its weathered brick walls & vintage memorabilia, and pull up a leather-bound chair, ready to tuck into an absolute feast.

The mountain of food will come from the Taste of Texas menu, which has been put together by the team at Beto & Sons (AKA Dallas’s best Mexican restaurant) and Nitro Burger (AKA Dallas’s best burger place). You’ll find the likes of Texas brisket tacos; beer-battered salmon tacos; and a gigantic Big Texan Beef burger, loaded with brisket, beef sausage, onion rings, cheddar cheese, pickled jalapeno salsa & a chipotle BBQ sauce.

Then, at 8pm, the music will kick off on the main stage with the raucously upbeat, toe-tapping, hip-swinging melodies of The Blues Kitchen House Band, followed by Texas native Jarrod Dickenson, who’ll be bringing his own captivatingly old fashioned blend of Americana, folk, and blues.

And for the two hour window after you book you’ll be able to sink as many half-priced Texas-style drinks as you fancy, including the Spicy Strawberry & Jalapeño Margarita; the Smokey Paloma (with mezcal, grapefruit liqueur, and smoked salt); and the Prickly Pear Margarita, made with an actual cactus. But don’t worry…

…it doesn’t taste too sharp.

NOTE: The 4th of July Party at The Blues Kitchen Shoreditch is taking place on, well, the 4th of July. Nudge Members are getting 50% off the food & booze whilst dining in the restaurant. The live music will start at 8pm, with two bands taking the stage throughout the evening. Not a Nudge Member yet? Sign up for your 7-day free trial here.

ALSO NOTE: If you fancy staying and partying in the bar, that is very much encouraged, however drinks will then be charged at full-price.
