If someone points behind you and shouts “Olé!”, it means one of two things:
1) There’s a bull behind you; or
2) You’ve stumbled on the latest Korean BBQ spot to open in Chinatown, Olle.
Assuming it’s the latter, heading inside, you’ll find deep teal walls, soft retro lighting, and sleek stone-top tables fitted with hot plates and BBQ grills over pits so that you can get involved with some of the cooking itself.
That cooking involves ingredients from a swathe of different cuisines; so expect seafood, wagyu beef and even Iberico pork to make an appearance, as well as more traditional Korean numbers like pancakes with kimchi, Korean fried chicken, dumplings, and traditional beef rib stew. Buzzy, interactive and featuring some extremely delicious dishes, it’s undoubtedly one of the best spots for Korean food in London.
…Oh, and if it was the former, run.
We probably should have mentioned that part first.
NOTE: Olle is now open noon-11pm daily. For more information, or to book, visit their website here.
Olle | 86-88 Shaftesbury Avenue, W1D
