Hungover? The Breakfast Club Hoxton is the kind of place that makes you feel better as soon as you step through the doors (which, particularly on a weekend, is likely to happen after a short stint in a medium-length queue).
Located in an ol’ warehouse just off Hoxton Square, the bright colours, feel-good design & kitschy paraphernalia are immediately enough to reduce any hangover by approximately 53%. Further improvement will be noted after a visit to the bathrooms – complete with He-Man wallpaper and the world’s smallest disco located just inside the door.
Though known best for its all-day breakfast and brunch menu – which The Breakfast Club does better than most places in London (think coffee, pancakes, smoothies, full Englishes and omelettes) – you can also get everything from homemade cookies to sandwiches and salads, all served up at old-school formica tables or within cosy pink leather booths. But really, to skip on the McLovin’ – a pancake ‘stackwich’ encompassing sausage patty, fried egg and cheese – would be a grievous error.
After a large coffee, a smoothie that includes the Breakfast Club’s special hangover cure, and a large Breakfast Club club sandwich with extra guacamole, perfect health and vitality will be restored in full. Just go easy on the Breakfast Mai Tais, or you’ll be back again in the morning.
NOTE: The Breakfast Club Hoxton is open daily from 8am. You can find out more, and reserve a table, right HERE.
