Trawler Trash

Trawler Trash | Islington Seafood Restaurant

NOTE: Trawler Trash has now closed.

It can be hard opening up a fish restaurant amidst so much competition.

You really need a good angle.

And Trawler Trash have exactly that, as an upmarket take on the chippie that puts full consideration into the sustainability of the produce they use. Their aim is to use the fish that’s usually overlooked in the catch – so rather than your common or garden cod, they’re putting fishies on dishies like kipper carbonara with peas and rocket, beetroot cured ling on rye toast, and grey mullet escabeche with carrots and red onion – as well as more traditional seafood fare, like mussels, which you’ll find dressed up with cider and clotted cream, or baked in a puff pastry pie.

Trawler Trash Islington Seafood Restaurant

The place itself has a polished, urban feel, with smooth concrete contrasting with textured brick behind the open kitchen, along with an intimate 12 seater cocktail bar at the back, perfect for whetting your whistle before settling down to your fish…

And trust us, that will be the only catch.
