The She Street Band | All Female Bruce Springsteen Cover Band
Meet the new Boss.
Not quite the same as the old Boss.
Because this one is the world’s first all-female Springsteen cover band. They call themselves The She Street Band, and they’re following up their sold out debut gig in April at London’s Moth Club (and a mini tour up to Scotland later in the summer) with a Valentine’s Week show on Friday February 16th at the Clapham Grand.
The group members themselves hail from shores including the UK, Ireland, and Sweden. And yes, one of them was born in the USA. They’ll be playing all the classics, from Born To Run to Thunder Road… but “with a female twist”. Meaning, we assume, that the lyrics might be delightfully tweaked.
Between sets, you can expect the musical void to be filled by Springsteen-obsessed DJs (from Hungry Heart; a series of events inspired by one of the founders of Pizza Pilgrims), and after the whole thing has finished The Grand will be kicking off a massive ’80s disco – which ticket holders get free access to – including confetti, ’80s cocktails, and a light up dance floor.
So you won’t be dancing in the dark.
