Camden’s Cheese Bar usually provides cheese wheels…

…but now it’s putting that cheese on wheels.

They’ve rolled their Cheese Trucks – a fleet of refurbished vintage ice cream vans – out of retirement, and sent them out on the road again to deliver cheese and wine to the London public.

Every day, they deliver to a different cluster of neighbourhoods across the length and breadth of the capital, from Sutton to Enfield. The process is pretty simple: firstly, you’ll select your area (which’ll determine your delivery date). East London postcodes can bag a delivery any day of the week, everyone else just needs to get their order in by 8pm the day before they’re due to hit your part of town.

Then, you’ll be free to put together your own self-isolation kit. The cheeses come as hand-picked bundles of British-produced curds and crackers. On top of that, you can add a charcuterie board; pantry bits and bobs including honey, coffee and sourdough; and wine, port and beer from their curated list of small growers and craft brewers.

But that’s not all.

If you’re missing the restaurant’s hot dishes, The Cheese Bar’s just launched on Deliveroo for the first time. Under the moniker ‘Mac Daddy’, they’re sending luxe macaroni cheese out across the city. You can pick from the likes of the Boeuf Daddy, bolstered with blue cheese, salt beef and cornichons; the Sugar Daddy with honey, goat’s cheese and candied walnuts; and Daddy’$ Dollar with Baron Bigod brie and truffle.

It’s at this point that you’ll likely want more cheese.

So they’ve thrown in a couple of sides, including fried cheese curds with chilli honey and their legendary mozzarella sticks, as well as a chocolate dessert pot for when it all gets a bit too much.
