The ‘70s are back.

And we’re not just talking about the revival of flares, or terrifying levels of inflation. We’re also talking about bars.

Because we’ve just seen the launch of a new late-night lounge bar testament to life in the glammed up, earth-toned, moodily cool disco decade. It’s called City Arts and you’ll find it, shockingly, in The City. The place stays open until an extremely generous 3am from Tuesday to Saturday, and it boasts its fair share of live music, too.

City Arts

The space itself has a quite beautifully understated throwback ’70s colour palate and design scheme – think mahogany panelled walls, curved black marble countertops, camel upholstered booths, with little mushroom lights sitting atop the bar’s black marble tables.

On the drinks front, the cocktails are the showstoppers at City Arts, with the likes of the Dry Cloud (mezcal, Italicus Liqueur, lemon zest & orange bitter) and the My Yuzu Way (vodka, yuzu sake, mango juice, Coco Lopez & lemon). Of course, you’ll also find a selection of premium wines and beers.

City Arts

The place is already pretty intimate, but if you’re after something even more exclusive, City Arts also has two private spaces: one with its own bar and the other with both a bar and a kitchen to cater for all your late-night hunger desires. Did we mention it’s in The City?

And to make things even more slick, they also have a cacti terrace with its own fire pit.

It’s about time to kick those flares on.
