A Little Lusciousness | Candlelit Suppers
We never had to learn how to be modest.
We’re just naturally good at it.
And it seems to come just as naturally to the food blogger and chef behind A Little Lusciousness, Rosie Llewellyn. Popping up all over London, her travelling supperclubs showcase seasonal ingredients in variously intimate and convivial settings, with five course feasts plated up on candle-lit, flower-strewn tables.
So really, it’s a pretty healthy dollop of lusciousness.
Her next evening is set to be a summer feasting menu centred around the humble gooseberry, in a secret Maida Vale location. It’s a BYOB number, but she’ll be sending out her recommendations to pair with the menu – set to comprise a starter of hot smoked mackerel with gooseberry and watercress, followed by the show-stopper main of butterfly shoulder of lamb with potato fondant, summer salad, and deep fried courgette flowers.
And to finish, there’ll be a gooseberry meringue cake, followed by a British cheeseboard with pickled gooseberry, followed by
probably the best homemade rum truffles you’ll ever encounter.
Not that she’d boast about them.
NOTE: A Little Lusciousness supperclubs run regularly throughout the year. The next evening is on Saturday 22nd July and costs £36 – you can book tickets right HERE. All proceeds from her upcoming events will be going to support those affected by the Grenfell fire.
