Hampers at Sibarita
They’re the one time you do want to put all your eggs in one basket.
Which won’t be a risky move if that basket happens to come from Sibarita, the freshly-opened, laid-back wine and cheese bar from the culinary master behind Encant, Victor Garvey.
You see, Sibarita are now offering takeaway hampers, meaning you can swing by, grab a pre-packed basket stuffed with artisanal produce and hand-picked Spanish wines (as well as the requisite blanket, napkins and crockery), and head out to the nearby verdant pastures of Lincoln’s Inn fields, St. James’ Park or Embankment Gardens.
You can either create your own bespoke hamper, or leave it to the professionals and grab one of their three pre-packaged options, each of which come loaded with…
- chilli and lemon house-marinated olives and paprika-dusted roasted Marcona almonds;
- a loaf of Sibarita’s award-winning Hedone sourdough; and
- a smorgasbord of charcuterie including sobrassada, chorizo and 18 month aged ham from a pig fed only on acorns.
The first hamper, Primavera, also comes with a bottle of red or white and a selection of 3 different Spanish cheeses, alongside a swathe of condiments including green plum jelly, quince paste, pickled figs and dried muscat grapes on the vine. Step up to El Sibarita, and you’ll get an even plusher bottle of vino, 2 more types of cheese and some house-cured and pickled anchovies to boot; while the ultra-luxe El Sabio comes bearing a seared tuna and truffled avocado coca (essentially the Spanish version of pizza).
And unlike eggs…
You can’t beat that.
NOTE: The hampers at Sibarita are now available to order in person, online HERE or over the phone on 0207 497 0999 between 11am and 6pm. They can be collected from an hour after booking, and if you’re renting the hamper (they can be purchased as gifts, too), you will need to leave a credit card with them as a deposit until you return the basket and cutlery, etc.
