JOIA x The Nudge | Party on a rooftop, baby

We’re throwing a party at one of the best new bars, inside one of the best new restaurants of the year.
It’s all going down on 5th of July at JOIA, a lustrously beautiful date spot from a Michelin Starred Portuguese chef on the 14th floor of art’otel, all overlooking Battersea Power Station. And yes, we’re getting onto the rooftop too. (Want a quick peek? This 15 second reel sums it up quite nicely).
The space itself is an absolute stunner. Accessed by a golden elevator, it’s dressed in gorgeous pastel hues & filled with chic-yet-comfy furnishings – but the view is the real prize here. The place looks down across a glowing blanket of lights, all punctuated by the vast illuminated columns of the iconic power station which gaze back at you from eye-level. In the pink sky of a balmy summer’s evening it’s one of the best vistas in the city, hands down. And you’ll get to see it from both the lounge cocktail bar, which is wrapped in huge floor-to-ceiling windows, or from JOIA’s all-new lush rooftop bar.
Tickets cost just £15, and include a pair of welcome cocktails courtesy of the fine folks at Lillet (a fruity, wine-based aperitif) and Havana Club (Cuban rum). You’ll get a crisp & refreshing Perola (Lillet Blanc, peach shrub, rhubarb bitters, Champagne), and a moodily complex Granada (Havana 7, cherry liqueur, pinot port, pandan cordial, tonka bitters). And of course you’ll be free to pluck liberally from the array of Portuguese & Catalan canapés being whisked out of the kitchen as the evening goes on, including the likes of Iberico croquetas, pan con tomate, Iberico ham, and many, many more.
Of course a great party like this necessitates a great DJ, so we’re supplying precisely that. Babajide Tikare, founder of radio show Don’t Touch My Fro! will be manning the decks all night, bringing an upbeat mix of music from across Africa and beyond. Think boogie, disco, highlife, early house, and more.
So get your dancing shoes on.
