Sandwich Fest Is Coming To East London

Dan Bell is a sandwich fanatic.

And now, after making countless clubs, he’s decided to put together an entire festival.

After a thoroughly bread-winning Kickstarter campaign, Sandwich Fest will touch down in Hackney for one glorious Saturday in late May. Dan has mustard the forces of eight of the capital’s finest ‘wich architects, who’ll all be competing for the title of Sandwich Fest Winner, including:

Brindisa – showcasing their delicious Spanish flavours
Deeny’s – Famed for their delicious ‘Macbeth’ haggis toastie
Le Bao – Serving up a modern twist on the Taiwanese bao bun
The Piadina Project – serving up Italian flatbreads with a “Lincolnshire twist”

Of course, while this is the main ingredient, the festival will be held together by live local music on a stage through the day, soft drinks from the Square Root Soda Company, and a craft beer bar from Five Points Brewing.

Perfect for toasts.

NOTE: Sandwich Fest takes place on May 20th in the SPACE Gallery Courtyard. Tickets cost £9, and include entry, a beer/soft drink, and a taster sandwich of your choice – they’re available now right HERE.
