The Spring Auction | The Auction Collective
They’re happy to do your bidding.
And the really great ones go a step further still. Such as former Christies gavel-man Tom Best, who decided to change up the industry by starting his own forward-thinking outfit, The Auction Collective.
So what makes them so good? Well, for one they don’t deal with art dealers. They deal with artists, scouring art schools & studios across the country looking for those up-and-comers who have talent to burn, but don’t yet have the expose they deserve. They work directly with them to get their best stuff into auction, curating everything around affordability & quality.
Once they have enough great stuff pulled together, the plan is for it to go into one of their seasonal auctions. The Spring Auction will be the first, with 68 artworks on the block, ranging from paintings, to sculptures, to photography and more. It’ll be held at the Menier Gallery (near London Bridge and Borough Market) on Saturday 23rd March. And it’s worth mentioning that they charge 0% commission, and make sure everything gets to you framed & ready to install at no extra cost.
The works will all be displayed online (browse them all right HERE), before going up as a free exhibition from the 19th-23rd. You can peruse the works freely, then if you fancy it, hit the auction. That’s also free – you just download the bidding paddle to your phone, and flip it up when you want to bid (or you can bid over the phone in the literal sense – they’ll call you when the action starts). Prices start from just £100. You’ll be hooked after only going once…
PERK: Nudge Members are getting an insanely cool wine-tasting experience & VIP preview. Find out more HERE.
NOTE: The Spring Auction by The Auction Collective will take place on Saturday March 23rd at the Menier Gallery. The artworks will be on display for free from the 19th. You can see all the artworks, and find out more at their website right HERE.
