Caravans tend to be more of a countryside thing.
But planting itself firmly in the City, after the success of their King’s Cross, Bankside and Exmouth Market spots, is the latest branch of all-day eatery and highly competent caffeinators, Caravan.
It’s all part of the swanky new Bloomberg development, which sports 10 new restaurants (including a second Koya and a new spot from the Gymkhana team). And appropriately for the media giant, this Caravan’s a whopper, with three levels, terrace seating and plenty of workspace.
To fill those three levels, they’ve given the menu an upgrade, with an entirely new brunch offering and an additional section of the menu dedicated to fermented and raw dishes, so you can tuck into fermented daikon with black salt and pickled ginger, if you so choose.
Or, you know, their giant pizzas and wagyu hanger steak. Whatever floats your boat.
Drinks-wise, they are, of course, pumping out their liquid gold from their own roastery; which’ll be finding its way into the cocktails too, with espresso martinis and coffee negronis acting as signature serves. But, if you want to be a little more creative, you can roll up to the shrub station, where you’re entrusted with knocking together your own cocktails…
And they’re definitely more interesting than the shrubs you find in the country.
NOTE: Caravan City is open daily from 7am (10am on weekends) – you can book and find out more on their website HERE.
