According to scientists, we need food to live.
So it comes as no surprise that Old Spitalfields Market will be playing host to a series of festivals this summer celebrating the stuff in all its glory. Called the We Love Food festivals, they’ll take place over every weekend in July, covering a new area of food & drink each time. So what can you expect? Well,
WE LOVE MEAT
The inaugural fest will focus on burgers, fried chicken, and steak (with supporting acts from ribs, wings, and sausages, too).
WE LOVE ASIAN FOOD
Up next, there’s Asian food repped by dumplings, sushi, and ramen (backed up by teamed buns, pho, bubble tea, and gyoza).
WE LOVE VEGAN FOOD
For the meat & dairy free, there’s a fest bringing together hummus vegan burgers, and vegan pizza (with a little vegan sushi, dumplings, and superfoods thrown in for good measure).
WE LOVE HAPPY HOUR
Tying up the month, there’s a boozy lineup of cocktails, gins, and proseccos (that are handily abetted by Champagne, cinder, and craft beer).
These are just the start – the organisers have ambitious plans for future fests including afternoon tea, brunch, dessert, ice cream, coffee, cheese, burritos, pasta, and more.
Sounds like a good excuse to live a little.
NOTE: Tickets to the We Love Food festivals are available now. They cost £4-£22, and are available right HERE.
