Market Halls Fulham | West London Street Food
After laying abandoned for 15 years…
…the Edwardian ticket hall at Fulham Broadway station has finally had a new arrival.
And as is typical of such things, there are three coming at once. Called Market Halls, they’re vast, buzzing dining canteens inspired by the hawker & cooked food markets of Asia – and they’ve come to you from Pitt Cue founder, Simon Anderson, and investor Andy Lewis-Pratt.
This debut spot, Market Hall Fulham, has taken over said elegant Edwardian ticket hall. Retaining the original tiling and period features, the space now plays host to 200 seats, ten restaurants, and one bar – from which you can mix and match dishes to enjoy in the central dining space. A huge step up from covered street food markets, the place has proper cutlery and glasses, more permanent, upmarket interiors, and a huge emphasis on quality.
So, just who’re the new tenants?
There’s meaty goodness from the likes of BBQ royalty HotBox and fried chicken sandwich maestros Butchies; or you can find something a little more exotic from Thima (Seb Holmes’ follow up to his outrageously good Thai spot Farang), Ahi Poke, and Calcutta Canteen.
If you’re into something a little more casual, Yard Sale Pizza will happily furnish you with exactly that, alongside options from Claude’s Deli or Fanny’s Kebabs. And to top it all off, you can dip into the absurdly creative ice cream from Soft Serve Society, or just coffee & doughnuts from Press. And of course, there’s that fully-stocked bar we mentioned to go with all of these.
This summer, plans are for the space to be joined by Market Hall Victoria (opening the doors to a former nightclub set in the arcades right by the station), and then Market Hall West End will be moving into the basement of the former BHS flagship (beneath Swingers West End) this autumn.
Better market in your diary then.
NOTE: Market Hall Fulham is open now. You can find out more, and check out the individual vendors at their website right HERE.
