Things To Do

Moyagi

There are very few times when you can scream in euphoria at half a dozen of your friends & coworkers simultaneously, but karaoke is one of them – and London has a ridiculously fun new venue to do it in.

Moyagi has just opened its first UK venue right here in London, following on from the two already well established in its native Sweden, and it’s every inch as sleek and seductively cool as both of them.

So what tune is this place singing to? Well, you’ll find it in on Cavendish Place, which is a couple of hundred yards north of Oxford Circus tube. It’s all inspired by karaoke’s Japanese origins, and thus packs eight private rooms of various sizes that are each dressed in the company’s alluring signature style of cherry red & gloss black, cut through with strips of moody neon and punctuated with ’70s style Japanese artwork. Those rooms all come with a streamlined drinks & concierge bottle service, top-shelf audio systems, and a 150,000 different tunes you can belt out/murder as you please.

Of course there’s a bar hidden in there too (called Hidden Bar) slinging cocktails, mocktails, and sweet Japanese ‘okashi’ bites. And although it sends plenty of drinks directly though to the rooms, it also works as a standalone cocktail joint in its own right, with guest DJs on the weekends.

And if you want to grab dinner before grabbing the mic? We’d highly recommend heading to Clipstone nearby, and perhaps fuelling up on some Dutch courage at the erstwhile World’s No.1 bar Artesian

…those guys know how to make a cocktail sing.

NOTE: Moyagi is open daily. You can find out more, and make a booking, right HERE
